Finding A Safe Place To StayIf you are wanting to leave home because you are being abused by the person you are living with, or if you are being harassed or threatened at home by an ex partner there are a number of options available to you. You may have friends or family who you can stay with temporarily, this may be your initial plan but it is likely that this will not be a long term ideal solution. This may not be an option for you and you may need to go into emergency accomodation. If you are unable to stay in your home because of the risk of violence you are considered homeless and your local authority have a duty to provide advice about finding accomodation, they also have a duty to provide temporary accommodation for you. Another option is to move into a refuge. There are other things that can be done such as getting an injuction to help stop your abuser coming to your home. We can also help you to make your home safer. We can talk with you and discuss the options available and support you with the decisions you make, telephone for more information or just to chat.
