Hiding Your Tracks Online

Please note, this information is for guidance only, and may not fully hide your tracks. To be fully confident of covering your tracks the safest way would be to use a computer at the library, a friend's house, at work etc.

Every time you visit a web site your computer keeps a history of your visit in the browsers cache (Temporary Internet folder). Below are instructions how to minimise the chances of someone finding what you have been looking at. Please note, if your partner uses sites where they have to sign in with passwords etc, these will also be removed, thus they will know that cookies have been cleared.
